The spread is the gap between bid and ask. You buy at the ask and sell at the bid, so every new position starts a small distance from breakeven. Tighter spreads reduce that distance; wider spreads increase it.
Spreads are not fixed across the day. They often widen around news, at the London–New York overlap’s edges, and when liquidity thins into the rollover. A quote that looks attractive at 14:00 London can look different at 22:00.
Account conditions
Roventar Trade lists Flexi, Platinum, and ECN accounts with different minimum deposits and leverage. The commercial details sit on the account pages. The principle is the same on all of them: know the spread you are paying on the pair you actually trade, not only on EURUSD in a quiet session.
If you trade frequently, spread is a larger share of the result. If you hold for days, overnight costs and the quality of the idea usually dominate. Match the account to the way you already trade.
